Until next week!
What a fantastic year it has been both personally and in my little business. Our new home, my vegetable patch and Found By Her have grown and flourished in 2015. Can’t wait to experience what 2016 has in store for us here at The Old Farmhouse!
So many Found By Her vintage finds made their way to new homes this year and some of my wonderful customers have shared their treasures with me and here are some below! Most of these photographs were shared via Instagram and the photographers’ Instagram IDs are given so you can check out their feeds.
Vintage propeller added to a wall decal in a little boy’s room – photo sent in by a customer and Capri canisters at home in the retro kitchen of @mrssasse
Egg basket and blanket sent by @mrssasse
Vintage lacrosse stick amongst other vintage sporting goods posted by @alioop05 and Bee exposure meter by @mysuburbanfarm
Trophies used as succulent planters – sent in by a customer and mini bowling pin trophies on display in @yyvett’s little boy’s room.
Brown bottle used as vase by @rubyandroseinteriors and old ferrous sulphate bottle in a vignette by @pattyannfurst
Perpetual calendar on the amazing kitchen hutch of @theblackhen and propeller on a vintage model plane engine (overlooking Lake Geneva and the Swiss Mountains of all places!)
Beautiful food styling by @theflouredkitchen on Found By Her plates and gorgeous use of a round cane basket by @mrssasse.
I’ve been lucky to visit the amazing canal front home of @aquabungalow and see Found By Her antique French apothecary canisters and old Willow watering can in use.
A highlight was seeing Found By Her World War I first aid kit in the ABC series “The War That Changed Us”.
There’s that wonderful old perpetual calendar styled by @theblackhen again! It was saved from the dump by a savvy employee when a building society closed down in the 70s.
This little Roman figurine often shows up on the Instagram feed and blog of @kehipwell
Binoculars setting off a gorgeous vignette by @coconutcabin and pretty coffee canister styled by @wendypaulamuses
More lovely binoculars styled by @alioop05
This fabulous trophy was huge and sported the names of Queensland Commonwealth and Olympic champs Lisa Curry and Hayley Lewis – it and a slightly smaller trophy, were purchased for use in a display in department store, Macy’s New York.
A highlight of the year was of course Found By Her’s inclusion in Australian Bride Magazine.
I hope to be listing new items by next Friday so tune in for Friday Fresh Finds – and Happy New Year!!
